SBMSA Spring Soccer Program 2009

SBMSA is pleased to announce Spring Soccer! In conjunction with Albion Hurricanes FC, the program will consist of 4v4 play for the 5 and 6 year olds and 6v6 for 7 to12 year olds. The small-sided game format gives players an opportunity to improve touches and confidence on the ball while making more decisions within the game.

Cost for the 10 week program is $150 and includes training sessions, uniforms and games. Games take place on Sunday afternoons; training sessions are Friday evenings. Our season runs from March 29th through May 17th but Friday practice sessions start February 27th (see below).

The SBMSA/AHFC spring soccer program is a new concept incorporating both professional training and games. We emphasize learning and fun. All coaches will be required to play all players a minimum of 50% of the time. Additionally, no player will be allowed to play more than 75% of a game until and unless all other players have played not less than 75%. All games are officiated by a certified referee.

Spring soccer registration opens around mid-day, Feb. 5th, on SBMSA's website www.sbmsa.org. Please check back then, as places are limited.

• Sign up deadline: February 23, 11pm (limited space available)
• All games are at Spring Branch Education Center (Westview at Campbell)
• Friday night training sessions are conducted at 3911 Campbell Rd. (1/2 mile north of Kempwood on left)
