Below, you may note some important dates that pertain to this year's spring season. The information and dates provided in this message pertain to SBMSA Junior Baseball, which includes: the Rookie division (5 and 6), Midget (7-8), Pee Wee (9-10), Bronco (11-12). All ages are based on age as of April 30, 2012.

• January 1, 2012 - Online registration open
• Jan 10 (6:00 PM - 8:00PM) In Person Registration (Memorial Middle School baseball fields)
• Jan 14 (9:00-Noon) In Person Registration (Memorial Middle School baseball fields)
• Jan 18 (6:00 PM - 8:00PM) In Person Registration (Memorial Middle School baseball fields)
• Jan 20 - Online Registration closes
• Jan 21 - Late Registration opens
• Jan 25 Late registration ends (Registration is cut off at this point)
• Jan 28 and 29 - Tryouts for 9-10's and 11-12's
• Feb 1 - Feb 7 - Rookie League and Midget League team formation. Pee Wee and Bronco Drafts (Exact dates To Be determined)
• Feb 18 SBMSA Baseball Clinic
• Week of March 12 SBISD Spring Break
• Week of March 19 - Regular Season begins
• March 24 - Opening Day celebration

The 2011 Jr Baseball Raffle was a huge success once again, raising over $45,000. Once again this will go right back into our facilities in 2012 and makes up a portion of our improvement / maintenance budget. Without the generous support of our community, our facilities would not be close to where they are today. The Bayou City Warriors are made up of all SBMSA American League Bronco players. The Warriors competed in the Nations Baseball 12U Select tournament at Baseball USA the weekend of April 1st-April 3rd. 17 teams competed. The Warriors earned the number 1 seed with a 2-0 record in pool play. On Sunday, the Warriors won 4 games to win the championship and finished undefeated in the tournament. The Bayou City Warriors are coached by Andy Baize, Ed Capo and Lynn Saha. Warriors players are - Tucker Britt, Timmy Cannon, Wes Capo, Cade Crockett, Drew Durham, Kevin Elder, Layton Gust, Sean Madden, TJ O'Brien, Trace Saha and Mark Wagner. Congratulations to the Bayou City Warriors on a great tournament!!

The Spartans defeated the Cougars 21-14 to win the 2nd Annual Midget Preseason tournament. Once again the tournament was a big hit and helped to get all of the midget teams ready for their upcoming season.

The Cougars were the runner up in the Midget Preseason tourney.
